Letter to Myself

Writing Assignment

You’ll complete a three-paragraph letter written to yours truly! You’ll write all about you now and goals you have so that you can reevaluate at the end of the year. How does this work??

1. Your letter should include 3 paragraphs as follows:

1^st paragraph: Introduction: Write an opening sentence to yourself and then describe you NOW (physical characteristics, likes/dislikes, friends, etc.).

2^nd paragraph: Continue with more about yourself by detailing your free time activities and hobbies.

3^rd paragraph: Describe your predictions and goals for your future in the sixth grade and as an adult.

**Remember, a well-written paragraph must include 5-7 complete sentences (not short, choppy sentences).

2. Later in the week, we’ll revise and publish our letters.

3. Finally, we’ll seal them, mail them to Mrs. Harper’s filing cabinet, and receive them in May.
